Zoe is 7 months old today!! And she's doing everything a 7 month old should be doing. She sits up by herself for a little while (about 45-60 seconds), she loves her jumpy toys and she talks and talks like no tomorrow. She now weighs just over 15 pounds and is blowing out of her 6 month clothes.
She was supposed to have surgery on Monday the 9th for a central line and a G-tube but she came down with RSV ( a type of bronchilal infection) and we had to postpone surgery- AGAIN. RSV can be very severe and in kids with lung issues they often times end up back in the hospital. Zoe seems to be very lucky, she has had to go up on her oxygen a bit and is defintely more mucousy than usual but other than that she's faring well. Her surgery will be rescheduled for probably about a month from now- we'll keep everyone posted- AGAIN. How ironic is it that her surgery was rescheduled 3 times by the hospital and then just when it's time to do it, she gets sick.
Zoe reminds us every day about the strength of the human spirit and is a true inspiration to everyone that meets her. If we could all be this stubborn and determined just think what could be accomplished...
